
Saudi Arabia is significantly advancing in water reuse, environmental conservation, and food security under the ambitious Vision 2030 framework. The Kingdom aims to build 1,000 rainwater harvesting dams, double water reuse, and boost agricultural production to strengthen its sustainable development leadership. Notable achievements include the rehabilitation of over 500,000 hectares of land, planting 151 million trees, and the introduction of innovative programs like cloud-seeding. Saudi Arabia has also made remarkable progress in water storage, desalination, and distribution, ensuring water availability and sustainability across the nation. In terms of food security, the Kingdom has seen substantial growth in agricultural GDP, achieved self-sufficiency in key food products, and secured wheat imports through strategic partnerships.
