The study, conducted with the assistance of Havas Startup Accelerator and Havas Media France, relies on feedback from over 10,000 consumers on e-commerce sites. This data was used to create an algorithm and analyze customer reviews to explain the success (or lack thereof) of various fragrances.

For men, “Sauvage Elixir” by Dior takes the top spot with an impressive 97% positive reviews. Its unique composition and magnetic cap are praised for their practicality. The fragrances “Boss Bottled Elixir” and “One Million” by Paco Rabanne complete the top three favorite perfumes among French men.

On the women’s side, “La Vie est Belle” by Lancôme claims the first position with 93% positive reviews across the studied sales platforms. Undoubtedly, the scents of jasmine and iris have convinced French women, placing it as the best-selling perfume in France. In second place, “L’Interdit” by Givenchy stands out with 90% positive reviews, while “J’adore” by Dior—celebrating its 25th anniversary this year—takes the third spot.
