The eighth edition of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) is set to begin on 26 October 2024, featuring an exciting variety of fitness activities and experiences across the city to encourage public participation and inspire a more active lifestyle. Launched in 2017 by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, this popular initiative emphasizes Dubai’s commitment to becoming the world’s most active city.
The DFC aims to motivate the community collectively to pursue incremental fitness goals and adopt a healthier lifestyle by undertaking 30 minutes of daily physical activity over 30 days. From 26 October to 24 November, Dubai will be transformed into a massive gym, offering 30 days packed with fitness fun and community-centric activities designed for everyone, regardless of age or skill level.
This year’s event features an expanded selection of workout options at fitness villages and community hubs throughout the city, where participants can engage in in-person classes that mix classic fitness trends with the latest fads. Mega events at iconic locations throughout the city will further inspire attendees. One of the key highlights is the Dubai Run, presented by Mai Dubai, where Sheikh Zayed Road will be transformed into a vast running track. Participants can choose between a challenging 10km route or a more leisurely 5km option, making it accessible to all fitness enthusiasts.
