Vicky Pattison is among 15 celebrities confirmed to be competing in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing, scheduled to premiere on September 20. The announcement on August 14 sent her fans buzzing with excitement. Sharing her thoughts about the upcoming challenge, Vicky admitted, “I’m absolutely buzzing to be part of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing lineup… but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t terrified.”
Despite not considering herself a natural dancer, Vicky views this opportunity as a chance to push her boundaries. “It’s an amazing opportunity for me to step out of my comfort zone and to challenge myself in a completely new way,” she said.
A Countryside Escape
With just a month left until the launch of Strictly, Vicky enjoyed a calming retreat in the countryside, making the most of her time to unwind with her family before the rigorous training begins. She stayed at a dog-friendly cottage, as arranged by @pawsandstaytravel, which she raved about on social media. “The Little House was cosy and set in the most beautiful location… perfect for long, lovely walks and cute nights in!” she wrote under snapshots of herself with her husband and pets.
She thanked the travel company for finding such a perfect location, adding, “If you’re a pawrent looking to spoil your babies, please give them a look!”
Tackling the Training Sessions
Vicky has been candidly documenting her experiences as she embarks on learning the intricate art of dancing. Sharing a snapshot following her first dance rehearsal, the star humorously described it as a “baptism of fire.”
“If I was doubting my ability before… then I REALLY am now! Dancing is SO HARD!” she wrote. Despite the blisters and the initial struggles, Vicky showed gratitude for the Strictly pros and her fellow celebrities who have been supportive throughout her journey. “The team are incredible, the celebs are so wonderful, and the pros are an absolute joy,” she said, hinting at the strong camaraderie forming behind the scenes.
