In the initial six months of 2025, the UAE detected more than 32,000 visa violators, a testament to the nation’s stringent immigration and labor enforcement strategies. The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) disclosed this significant number, emphasizing the ongoing crackdown on illegal residents and unauthorized employment. With 252 inspection campaigns in February alone, resulting in multiple arrests and deportations, the authorities are resolute in upholding national security and labor regulations. The post-amnesty enforcement actions in January led to over 6,000 arrests post-amnesty, demonstrating a commitment to legal compliance in accordance with Federal Law No. 29 of 2021.
