An 11-year-old girl tragically passed away at a Cornwall beauty spot, Wacker Quay, following an incident in the water. The emergency services responded to the scene after concerns were raised about a person in the water around 18:00 BST on Saturday.
The young girl, hailing from the South Devon area, was retrieved from the water and received immediate emergency treatment, but sadly succumbed at the location. Devon and Cornwall Police have stated her death is not considered suspicious. The authorities have notified her next of kin, who will be assisted by the police during this difficult time.
Another sad incident in Cornwall involved the arrest of a man in his 40s following an altercation in a local shop. Meanwhile, the inquest into the passing of three-year-old Theo Tuikubulau, who doctors initially believed had an ear infection, is ongoing. Tragically, Theo Tuikubulau from Cornwall lost his life in July 2022 after readmission to the hospital for sepsis.
