Three men have been arrested following a fatal assault in Chadwell Heath, East London, during the early hours of Saturday morning. The Metropolitan Police responded to reports of an incident at around 5:30 AM on Chadwell Heath Lane, where a woman in her 20s was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Arrests Made in Connection with the Incident
A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder, while two other men, aged 21 and 22, were detained on suspicion of assisting an offender. The arrests come as the Metropolitan Police continue their investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Investigation and Family Support
Detectives believe the individuals involved in the altercation were known to each other, suggesting the event was an isolated occurrence. The victim’s family has been informed and is being supported by specially trained family liaison officers.

Although we have now made arrests, local residents will continue to see an increased number of officers in and around the area while our investigative work is carried out.”

The London Ambulance Service also attended the scene, but efforts to save the young woman were unsuccessful.
