Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami of Uttarakhand recently launched a series of cutting-edge information and communications technology (ICT) services. These include the introduction of the Digital Uttarakhand app, 66 websites developed on the Secure, Scalable, and Sugamya (S3Waas) platform, a GIS-based web application for real-time tracking of urban garbage collection vehicles, AI integration in the 1905 CM Helpline for improved citizen service, and a web-based tool for monitoring encroachments. Furthermore, the CM announced plans for a state-of-the-art Data Centre with disaster recovery capabilities, an upcoming ‘AI Mission,’ a Remote Sensing and Drone Application Centre, and the formation of an dedicated IT cadre. Emphasizing the transition to a tech-savvy state, Dhami envisions Uttarakhand as a hub of technology innovation alongside its natural beauty. These initiatives aim to enhance governance efficiency and transparency in service delivery as part of the ‘Hill to Hi-Tech’ mantra.
