Locke stresses the critical need for these platforms to crackdown on criminal accounts, eliminate any content that promotes violence, and introduce sophisticated detection tools to safeguard the community against such atrocities. The Mayor expressed her concerns saying that allowing violent crimes to be glorified and shared online while legitimate news is censored is unacceptable. She called for swift and decisive measures from these tech giants to uphold corporate responsibility and decency.
