
Since the beginning of the 2025 Umrah season on June 11, Saudi Arabia has welcomed over 1.2 million pilgrims from 109 countries, marking a 30% increase from the previous year. Backed by advanced digital platforms, stricter accommodation rules through Nusuk Masar, and 89 new initiatives, the Kingdom is providing a safer, more sophisticated, and spiritually enriching Umrah journey for pilgrims. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s efforts have resulted in improved visa issuance processes and enhanced services, with over 4,200 contracts between Saudi Umrah companies and international agents solidifying seamless arrangements for pilgrims. The Ministry’s focus on integrating technology and infrastructure has led to the launch of over 89 new initiatives, including the innovative ‘Rushd’ App and Smart Safety Bracelets for enhanced safety and spiritual engagement. The Kingdom has also taken significant steps in improving accommodation standards and ensuring efficient emergency response protocols within key sites like the Prophet’s Mosque. Furthermore, the implementation of the Nusuk Masar platform has streamlined visa issuance and accommodation bookings, emphasizing the importance of pilgrims’ safety and comfort.
