Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Education has announced the academic calendar for the 2025-2026 school year, introducing staggered start dates and a nationwide AI curriculum. Most regions will start on August 24, 2025, while major cities like Makkah and Jeddah will commence on August 31. The Ministry aims to enhance learning, student well-being, and digital skills alignment with Vision 2030. The revised weekly class schedules prioritize optimized learning structures and cover a spectrum of subjects tailored to each grade level. Elementary to secondary school students will have the opportunity to engage with AI concepts through practical lessons developed in partnership with leading authorities in the field. This move not only supports national talent development but also reinforces Saudi Arabia’s positioning in the tech industry, in line with the country’s long-term strategic goals.
