In a joint statement posted on Facebook, Shyla described Andy as ‘one of the gentlest, most soft-spoken, kind-hearted men’ and expressed surprise at their deep connection after meeting as colleagues. She highlighted their shared devotion to family and nature, emphasizing the joy and purpose of their life together.
Shyla acknowledged Andy’s challenging past, including a ‘painful and abusive’ marriage to Martha, and criticized Martha for repeatedly revisiting their marriage in the documentary’s promotion. Shyla expressed hope for everyone, including Martha, to experience deep love and peace.
In the film, Martha revealed her own affairs during the marriage, including one on their honeymoon and another with an Irishman, and claimed Andy was aware of her infidelity. The documentary, ‘Martha,’ will be available for streaming on Netflix.
