In Kataram mandal of Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, a letter allegedly issued by a banned Maoist faction under the signature ‘Jagan’ has sparked significant concern. The correspondence cautioned BRS leaders about possible repercussions for exploiting citizens through the Dalit Bandhu Scheme (DBS).
The letter accused certain BRS officials of misappropriating large sums from unsuspecting Dalit individuals under the guise of the DBS introduced by the BRS government. It claimed that these leaders lured the public with false promises, amassing considerable money in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district.
It called for these leaders to return the funds to the Dalit community or face dire consequences. The letter specifically mentioned several BRS members, including former ZPTCs, MPPs, PCC figures, MPTCs, sarpanchs, and former municipal leaders.
In response to this alarming letter, local police have initiated an investigation to ascertain whether it was indeed released by the Maoist organization or if it originated from another source.
