
A man in his 50s tragically lost his life in a fatal crash on the M23 motorway early Sunday morning, Surrey Police have confirmed. The incident occurred shortly before 6:30 am between Junction 8 (M25 interchange) and Junction 7 (A23 and Croydon exit).
Details of the Incident
The collision involved the driver of an Audi and a VW, with the victim, who was outside his vehicle in a layby at the time, pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency services responded promptly, but their efforts could not save the man. His next of kin have been informed.
A man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Investigations are ongoing to determine the causes of the incident.
