Lady Leshurr, renowned rapper and performer, became the seventh celebrity to leave Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins after sustaining a significant neck injury during a challenging task. The Channel 4 reality series, known for its intense physical demands, saw Leshurr bow out after an emotionally charged decision.
Injury During Grueling Dinghy Task
In the latest episode, Melesha Katrina O’Garro, famously known as Lady Leshurr, approached the show’s lead instructor, Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham, before the day’s activities commenced. She revealed that she could not continue after suffering a debilitating injury during a task that required carrying a heavy dinghy. Explaining her decision, Leshurr shared, “The whole weight went onto my neck, and I feel like I can’t continue.”
The rapper, aged 37, was visibly emotional while handing over her number, marking her exit. Billy acknowledged her remarkable effort, stating she had “way surpassed our expectations.” Reflecting on her departure, Lady Leshurr told the cameras, “I’ve been through so much and still managed to get back up, but my pain threshold is shaky.”
Fans Celebrate Her Courage
Fans of the show flooded social media with messages of support, applauding the rapper for her resilience. One user on X (formerly Twitter), Ryan Glendenning, wrote, “Well done, Lady Leshurr! ❤️👏🏼 You pushed yourself to the limit and tried your hardest until injury meant you couldn’t go any further. Your family would be proud.” Another comment from the show’s official account, SAS_WDW, described her presence on the show as a joy.
Other users, including Mr Lawrence and Oor Roy, shared sentiments of encouragement, expressing their disappointment over her premature departure but praising her determination throughout the series.
Second Exit and Other Challenges
Lady Leshurr wasn’t the only contestant to leave during the episode. Rebecca Loos also exited after opting out of a nerve-wracking bungee jump from the 105-foot-tall Cwm Prysor Viaduct in Wales. Additionally, fellow contestant Lucy Spraggan faced a serious injury during a jump, revealing she had torn her labia, which caused significant pain and blood loss. “In midair, I tried pulling on the rope to relieve tension, but the pain was excruciating,” Spraggan shared in an interview with LadBible.
