On Wednesday, Israeli soldiers clashed with schoolchildren in the town of Al-Khader, located south of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank. Reports indicate that the soldiers invaded the Old City area, deploying military vehicles in the at-Tal region and closing off access. They used tear gas and concussion grenades against the children and local residents to disperse them.
The town of Al-Khader has a history of such invasions, particularly during morning hours, coinciding with students heading to school, which disrupts education and daily activities. These actions often involve closing shops, blocking streets, and using tear gas and grenades.
Additionally, in a series of operations across the region, Israeli soldiers abducted two young men at dawn in Hebron, confiscating a car. On Tuesday evening, two teenage boys were also taken near Ramallah, and six Palestinians, including a child, were arrested in various governorates including Tubas, Nablus, and Bethlehem. Furthermore, military actions resulted in the shooting of a Palestinian man near Tulkarem and the abduction of three others in Qalqilia in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.
