Hilaria Baldwin, wife of actor Alec Baldwin, recently took to Instagram to share a deeply personal story about her journey recovering from a severe hip injury. The 41-year-old TV personality and yoga enthusiast provided a candid look into her past while showcasing her passion for movement.
A Life-Altering Injury
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Hilaria revealed she broke her hip at the age of 25—a debilitating injury that left her struggling to walk for nearly a year. In the video post, she performed yoga stretches against a wall, proudly wearing an orange sports bra and matching leggings, which highlighted the scar on her upper left hip.
“Broke my hip when I was 25 and couldn’t walk well for the better part of a year. You can see the scar on the outside of my hip,” she wrote. She reflected on how difficult recovery was, adding, “It took me years to recover and to be quite honest, it will never be the same. Moving for me isn’t just fun, grounding, and how I feel good; it’s daily gratitude.”
Overcoming Other Physical Setbacks
Hilaria has endured other injuries over the years. In 2020, she broke her ankle while dodging a fast-moving car on a narrow road. Last year, she was seen in New York City sporting a protective boot on her foot after another incident.
In her 2016 book, The Living Clearly Method: 5 Principles for a Fit Body, Healthy Mind & Joyful Life, Hilaria emphasized the importance of movement for physical and mental well-being. “The mind and the body speak two different languages,” she wrote, adding, “When your mind and body synch up, you’ll find joy.”
Rumors About Dancing With the Stars
Aside from yoga, Hilaria is passionate about dancing. Recent Instagram activity has fueled speculation she might join the Season 34 cast of Dancing With the Stars, which begins this September. A fan commented, “Girl can dance!! Getting ready for DWTS?” Hilaria reposted the comment, sparking excitement among supporters while also stirring mixed reactions from skeptics.
Family Life in the Spotlight
Hilaria and Alec Baldwin, married since 2012, are parents to seven children. Earlier this year, the couple starred in the TLC reality series The Baldwins, which delved into their family life. Though the show concluded in April after just eight episodes, it was met with lukewarm reviews and uncertainty about a second season.
In May, Hilaria published her memoir, Manuel Not Included, where she detailed the challenges of motherhood, addressed controversies surrounding her accent, and reflected on her family’s experience following the tragic 2021 Rust shooting incident.
Despite facing challenges and criticism, Hilaria Baldwin continues to inspire with her openness and dedication to wellness. Her story reinforces the importance of resilience and gratitude in overcoming life’s obstacles.
