Ahhh heels! We love them as much as we hate them. If you like wearing them without necessarily mastering the art of high-flying, this new trend is made for you.

Every fashionista agrees on the importance of shoes in a look. They complete an outfit, setting the tone for our outfit. A pair of trendy sneakers will add a casual character to even a chic outfit, while high boots will give that extra touch of glamour, and pumps will instantly elevate the look.

But while heels can add something very interesting to the line of an outfit, we don’t all prance around with the same ease if they are high. Luckily, the new shoe trend is about to reconcile style and comfort, as it is all about kitten heels.

Kitten heels, the must-have heels in 2024 We see them everywhere, on the catwalks, on the feet of it-girls on social media, in our favorite stores. What’s special about these heels? They range from 3.5 to 5 centimeters. Long admired on the feet of the iconic Audrey Hepburn, they have made a strong comeback in the fashion sphere and offer a change from towering heels.

This season, kitten heels come in several styles. We’ll mention slingbacks, these super trendy strapped pumps, which are perfect for this little heel. Classic pumps are also stunning in kitten heel versions; we saw the gorgeous look of Letizia of Spain wearing them with a wrap dress in a beautiful soft blue. But that’s not all; kitten heels are also ultra-trendy on boots and booties, and it’s fabulous.

You can wear them with an oversized look, under wide-legged jeans with a leopard print or a trouser suit, just as you can opt for a more preppy look by wearing your slingbacks with a pair of high socks, with a short skirt or shorts. Iris Mittenaere succumbed to this trend, and her outfit was stunning.

And beyond being very fashionable, they’re also a comfortable type of heel. Indeed, they’re not high, which offers more stability; it’s a good option for people who aren’t used to walking in heels. And for those who wear them very often, this will give your feet a little respite. Sandrine Bergere Morant, a podiatrist, told us in a previous article that if you want to wear heels, the ideal height is “3-4 centimeters because it corresponds to the right arch for the foot. Beyond 7 centimeters, it’s not reasonable.” In short, kitten heels have it all!
