GP Taylor, the author of the bestselling children’s thriller Shadowmancer, crafted his dark tales inspired by Whitby’s connection to Dracula while serving as an Anglican priest. During his priesthood, he assisted people with haunted houses, fueling the imaginative spark for his books published by Faber and Faber. With a repertoire of 20 novels, two films, and a supernatural-themed ITV series entitled Uninvited Guests, Taylor has established himself in the literary world.
On November 15, he will release his 21st book, Pig in the Pulpit, which draws on his dual experience as a police officer and a priest in rural Yorkshire. Taylor’s residence, West End House, located on an ancient Roman road in Bridlington, boasts a rich history, previously home to several Mayors, a solicitors office, and even serving as an officers’ billet during WWII.
