The Glasgow Clan ice hockey team has inaugurated the Ice Futures Charity, aimed at promoting the advantages of exercise and healthy eating. This charity seeks to provide individuals of all ages the opportunity to engage in ice skating, hockey, and other ice-related activities, which benefit both physical and mental health.
Managing Director Gareth Chalmers stated that the charity prioritizes introducing and facilitating participation in ice hockey and various ice activities to encourage a healthy lifestyle through physical activity and nutrition. It aims to connect with the community by working with local schools and youth organizations, as well as supporting the new Clan Academy to nurture the next generation of players.
Chalmers noted that the ambition to establish this initiative has been in the making for several years, and they are now in a position to actualize it in line with the club’s broader goals. The Glasgow Clan is fully committed to backing this project as their official charity partner.
The Ice Futures Charity is registered with The Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR registration number SCO53637). Chalmers expressed gratitude to Kevin McCoskrie for propelling the project and acknowledged the trustees for their assistance in launching the charity.
