Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has extended Dubai Metro hours to support the Global Encounters Festival at Dubai World Trade Centre. The metro will operate until 1am on Sunday, July 20, instead of midnight. This change aims to ease transportation for the festival attendees and reduce traffic congestion in central Dubai. With limited parking available, RTA encourages the use of public transport, emphasizing the convenience and efficiency of the Dubai Metro. The festival, a week-long celebration of art, culture, and sports within the Ismaili Muslim community, will take place at the Sheikh Saeed and Sheikh Rashid Halls during July 20-27. Visitors are advised to utilize the metro network for a hassle-free journey to and from the event.
