Emirates Skywards and HSBC Unveil New Cobrand Credit Cards in UAE

Emirates Skywards collaborates with HSBC to launch two new cobranded credit cards, providing more than 23 million members in the UAE with opportunities to earn Skywards Miles and exclusive benefits.

Emirates Skywards has announced a partnership with HSBC Bank Middle East to introduce new cobranded credit cards in the UAE. The HSBC Emirates Skywards Credit Cards come in two variants: the Signature and the Infinite. These cards will enable over 23 million members in the UAE to earn more Skywards Miles on travel, lifestyle, and daily expenditures, along with unique lifestyle experiences that can be accessed globally.

In a significant agreement ceremony attended by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline Group, as well as Sir Mark Tucker, HSBC Group Chairman, the collaboration aims to enhance the value offered to customers through these credit cards. Dr. Nejib Ben Khedher, Divisional Senior Vice President of Emirates Skywards, expressed enthusiasm about this partnership with one of the world’s leading banking brands. He stated, “Emirates is known for delivering exceptional value to its customers, and the HSBC Emirates Skywards Credit Cards extend that promise further. We are delighted to work with a global powerhouse to enhance the cobrand experience for our members in the UAE.”

With the HSBC Emirates Skywards Credit Cards, customers will have an excellent opportunity to increase their Miles earning potential for future flight rewards with Emirates and partner airlines, including ticket upgrades, hospitality tickets for globally recognized sporting events, and numerous additional exclusive benefits.

Dinesh Sharma, Regional Head of Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) EMEA at HSBC, remarked on the collaboration: “The UAE has evolved into a global hub for travel and lifestyle, attracting talented professionals from around the world. Our customers are ambitious, travel-minded individuals who will certainly benefit from our new partnership with the award-winning Emirates and flydubai loyalty programs.”

The HSBC Emirates Skywards Infinite Credit Card provides members with complimentary Silver Tier membership for the card’s lifetime, along with various benefits such as a signup bonus of 20,000 Skywards Miles upon the payment of the annual fee. Customers can earn an additional 30,000 welcome bonus Skywards Miles after spending a minimum of AED 50,000 within 60 days of card issuance. The Skywards Miles accumulated on this card have no expiration as long as the card is active and offers complimentary beach access at premium hotels in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, exclusive offers across the UAE via HSBC Entertainer app, subscription to Careem, discounts on Amazon and select cinemas, international roaming discounts with Airalo, and complimentary travel insurance, unlimited lounge access worldwide, and concierge services through the Visa Airport Companion app.

Meanwhile, the HSBC Emirates Skywards Signature Credit Card includes benefits like a 10,000 Skywards Miles signup bonus upon annual fee payment, a 10,000 welcome bonus Skywards Miles, and the possibility for members to fast track to Silver Tier membership with a minimum spend of AED 30,000 in 60 days. Additional benefits consist of exclusive offers across the UAE with the HSBC Entertainer app, complimentary Careem subscription, discounts on cinema tickets and Amazon, and 12 complimentary airport lounge visits worldwide.

Emirates Skywards boasts a member base of over 33 million globally, allowing them to earn and redeem Skywards Miles for a wide array of rewards such as flight tickets, upgrades, gift cards, and holiday packages. Cardholders can further enhance their Skywards Miles accrual by utilizing their cards with various hotel, car rental, and lifestyle partners.
