Emirates has inked two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Vietnam Airlines and VietJet to enhance connectivity and expand travel options between Dubai and Vietnam’s key cities, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. These agreements were established during the Vietnam UAE Business Forum at the Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah on October 28. Key attendees included Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, along with various government officials and business leaders.
Orhan Abbas, Emirates Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations Far East, emphasized the airline’s commitment to strengthening its presence in Vietnam, a vital market for trade and tourism since 2012. Kazim expressed that collaborating with Vietnam Airlines and VietJet aligns with Emirates’ strategy to better connect customers beyond its own network.
The MoU with Vietnam Airlines aims to expand their existing cooperation, enhance connectivity beyond the current interline routes, and explore reciprocal loyalty benefits. Meanwhile, the agreement with VietJet will promote visitor traffic between the UAE and Vietnam, offering customers increased access to both airlines’ networks.
Both partnerships aim to bolster tourism and economic ties between the nations. With increased daily flights from Emirates planned for January 2025, this collaboration is poised to enhance travel experiences and foster stronger connections.
