Elton John Opens Up About Health Challenges
Sir Elton has had a challenging year, revealing that he has been battling partial blindness. Speaking to The Times, the Rocket Man singer stated: “I can see you, but I can’t see TV, I can’t read. I can’t see my boys playing rugby and soccer, and it has been a very stressful time because I’m used to soaking it all up.”
Although he admitted the condition has been “distressing,” Elton remains resilient. He shared: “You get emotional, but you have to get used to it because I’m lucky to have the life I have. I still have my wonderful family, and I can still see something out of here [left eye]. So you say to yourself, just get on with it.”
The singer, who is now 78, mentioned that despite the challenges, 2025 has been a fantastic year so far. He explained to HELLO! his plans to enjoy the summer with his long-time partner David Furnish and their two sons, Zachary, 14, and Elijah, 11. “We’ve been together for 31 years and are so happy. Our family is balanced, and we’re enjoying this new phase of life,” he said.
