His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, recently met with Shou Zi Chew, the CEO of TikTok, one of the globe’s leading social media platforms.
During the meeting, His Highness expressed Dubai’s dedication to forging partnerships with prominent global media technology leaders such as TikTok to boost the competitiveness of its media sector. He noted that through strategic collaborations, the aim is to cultivate local talent, integrate advanced expertise, and solidify Dubai’s status as a vibrant center for media innovation.
Al Maktoum emphasized the importance of nurturing an ecosystem where creativity and excellence in media can flourish globally. Through these partnerships, the UAE seeks to support its media professionals and enterprises in adapting to trends reshaping the industry.
Recognized for being a regional media hub for two decades, Dubai continues to provide an outstanding base for international firms focused on innovation and growth opportunities. As part of this initiative, the Dubai Press Club will host a roundtable with Shou Zi Chew, centered on the future of content creation and empowering creativity.
