Hatta recently hosted the second session of the Dubai Rowing Challenge, which triumphed with record participation, attracting 2,330 experienced and novice rowers amidst Hatta’s picturesque mountains. This figure significantly surpassed last year’s engagement of 1,000 participants, solidifying the challenge’s status as one of the key events in the Dubai Fitness Challenge 2024.
Organized under the auspices of Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, the challenge welcomed participants of all ages and skill levels, featuring numerous activities such as adult and family training sessions led by certified trainers, group challenges, and the addition of free kayaking sessions for the first time. The event concluded with a tranquil yoga session at sunset, allowing attendees to unwind while enjoying the beauty of nature.
Saeed Hareb, Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council, expressed pride in the challenge’s success, emphasizing its role in promoting a culture of health in Dubai. Ahmed Al Khaja, Executive Director of the Dubai Festivals and Retail Corporation, highlighted the event’s diversity and its focus on maintaining an active lifestyle, reinforcing the goals of the Dubai Fitness Challenge. The introduction of free kayaking was particularly well-received, enriching the event’s offerings.
