The Dubai Rowing Challenge successfully hosted its second session, drawing 2,330 participants, a significant increase from last year’s 1,000. This year’s event further solidified its status within the Dubai Fitness Challenge 2024, showcasing Hatta’s picturesque mountains.
Organized by the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, the event was open to all ages and skill levels, featuring activities like adult and family training sessions led by certified trainers, group challenges, and the introduction of free kayaking for the first time.
The day culminated in a calming yoga session at sunset, allowing participants to unwind amid Hatta’s natural beauty. Saeed Hareb, Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council, expressed pride in the challenge’s achievements, indicating it not only met but exceeded expectations in fostering a healthy lifestyle culture in Dubai.
Ahmed Al Khaja, Executive Director of the Dubai Festivals and Retail Corporation, highlighted the event’s community spirit, emphasizing its role in encouraging physical activity among Dubai residents and visitors. The inclusion of kayaking added a vibrant dynamic to the program and further enhanced the event’s appeal.
