As of July 2025, Qatari citizens holding ordinary passports valid for at least six months can visit Peru without a visa for stays of up to 183 days in a 12-month period. This visa exemption, initiated by Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aims to enhance tourism and business opportunities between the two nations, facilitating cultural exchanges and professional ventures in Latin America. Peru’s diverse attractions, such as Machu Picchu and the Amazon rainforest, coupled with improved air connectivity between Doha and Lima, offer a rich travel experience for Qatari visitors. The simplified travel process is expected to not only boost tourism and strengthen trade relations but also foster deeper cultural connections and economic cooperation between Qatar and Peru.
