The iconic community park, Parc des Capucins in Coulommiers, has reopened after being closed for several months due to recent floods. To celebrate, the city has launched an original photo competition, inviting locals and visitors to capture the park’s gems – wildlife, flora, historical infrastructures, and other elegant details.
The competition, which runs on Instagram, is open to both amateur photographers and those who love the history-packed location. To participate, competitors need to publish their photo on Instagram using the hashtag #LeParcDesCapucinsEnPhoto, and mention the city’s official account. Alternatively, they can send their snapshot in a private message on Instagram before December 15th.
A jury will select 10 photos from the entries. These will then be presented for public voting on Instagram from December 16th to 20th. The results will be announced on December 20th at 6 pm. The top three photographers will win a copy of the photo book ‘La Brie’ by François Thion.
With this initiative, the city of Coulommiers aims to rediscover Parc des Capucins from a new perspective, paying tribute to the splendour of this unique place, a symbol of resilience and timeless beauty.
