Chelsea has allocated $15.5 million (£11.4m) in Club World Cup bonuses to be distributed among players, with a portion being donated to the family of Diogo Jota and Andre Silva. This decision came after Chelsea’s victory in FIFA’s expanded tournament, defeating Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in the final at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The fund will be divided equally among the players with each receiving over $500,000. The gesture towards Jota’s family was a joint decision by the club and players following the tragic passing of the brothers. Liverpool FC has also planned tributes to honor Diogo Jota’s legacy.
