We now acknowledge that there is no evidence connecting Mr. Ayre to Wirecard’s fabricated Asian payment network, nor did he knowingly benefit from the scandal. The accusations made were unfounded, and we deeply regret any harm caused. The article in question has been permanently withdrawn to prevent the spread of misinformation.
