Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced a new Rs 60 crore water treatment plant (WTP) at Amthane dam to cater to Bicholim’s water needs. The project aims to enhance water supply for the entirety of the Bicholim constituency, benefitting four panchayats and an industrial estate. The WTP is set to be operational within a year, providing self-sufficiency in water supply to the designated areas.
