A spokesperson for the Merseyside Police stated, “A man has been arrested at Arrowe Park Hospital today, Sunday 17 August, just after 4 PM. Armed officers detained a 42-year-old man on suspicion of possessing a firearm. While no firearm has been recovered at this stage, enquiries remain ongoing, and there is no risk to public safety.”
