
On July 20, 2025, the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) announced that Air Arabia, in collaboration with Saudi firms Kun Investment Holding and Nesma Group, has successfully secured the license to operate a new low-cost airline based in Dammam. With plans for a fleet of 45 aircraft and ambitions to connect 81 destinations, this project aligns with Saudi Arabia’s goal to enhance regional connectivity and accessibility under Vision 2030.
