In a significant move to enhance ties with Kuwait, India introduced fully online e-visas for Kuwaiti citizens on July 13, 2025. This initiative covers tourism, business, medical, conference, and AYUSH purposes, simplifying travel processes. The e-visas have varying durations and costs, with the tourist e-visa offering a 5-year validity at USD 80. The application process is entirely online, with biometrics collected upon arrival and processing times of 3–4 working days. While the digital option is now available, India still accepts paper visa applications through diplomatic channels to cater to individual preferences. This advancement aims at fostering easier mobility and reinforcing bilateral relations between the two nations.
