Emirates Resumes Daily Adelaide-Dubai Flights, Boosting Trade and Tourism

Emirates has relaunched its daily service between Adelaide and Dubai, using a Boeing 777200LR for this route. This service reinstatement provides over 4200 weekly seats between Dubai and South Australia’s capital. The aircraft features 302 seats across two classes—38 in Business set in a 2-2-2 configuration and 264 in Economy.

This move allows for over 220,000 travelers to fly between Dubai and Adelaide annually, demonstrating the airline’s commitment to South Australia and its growing travel demands. The return of Emirates flights is expected to significantly impact South Australia’s economy, generating an estimated $62 million in annual tourism spending and creating over 315 full-time jobs in tourism.

Additionally, Emirates SkyCargo will bolster trade links, offering 14 tonnes of cargo space on each flight, totaling 196 tonnes weekly. Key exports include seafood, meat, pharmaceuticals, and electronics, with freight exports valued at around $98 million annually, contributing to a total economic impact of $160 million.

Officials emphasized that Emirates’ return enhances South Australia’s appeal to international visitors and strengthens the state’s tourism and trade sectors. Emirates operates 70 weekly services from Australia, further indicating the airline’s long-term commitment to the region.
