Tony Combot, owner of Arriba Fitness and CrossFit Burning Fire, presented his idea for a dance establishment in September 2023. The proposed venue, alcohol-free and aimed at being a selective dance space, was scheduled to open in 2024 near Centrakor in the Terres Fortes shopping area of Nogent-le-Rotrou.
The project received positive feedback from the community, although some residents expressed concerns about potential noise disturbances. Combot assured that the venue would be equipped with soundproofing materials to mitigate such issues.
After multiple discussions and site visits with the property owner, the project has now been placed on hold as Combot has been occupied with professional commitments. However, he remains optimistic about the concept’s potential, noting a lack of adult leisure activities in the area.
His vision includes offering various dance classes during the week, featuring styles such as rock, salsa, and bachata, run by professionals, and transforming the space into a lively dance venue on weekends, including bal musette events on Sundays.
While the establishment’s future remains uncertain due to location challenges and community constraints, Combot continues to host monthly dance evenings at Arriba Fitness in the meantime.
