Starting June 30, 2025, residents of the UAE applying for a Chinese visa must complete an online application and upload necessary documents to receive a Visa Application Certificate (VAC). This new two-step process eliminates the need for in-person submission without online approval, replacing the old paper-based system. Passport collection takes four working days post in-person submission, bringing speed and efficiency to the visa application process.
