Dubai unveiled the pioneering Human–Machine Collaboration (HMC) Icons system to delineate AI’s role in content creation. This innovative system, developed by the Dubai Future Foundation, categorizes human and machine contributions in research, design, and production processes. By promoting transparency and responsible AI utilization, it fosters global acceptance while ensuring the integrity of creative work amid increasing machine involvement. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum led this transformative step to distinguish human and machine roles in creating intellectual content, emphasizing the need for a transparent approach in the face of evolving AI technology. The Human–Machine Collaboration Icons system, quickly adopted by Dubai’s government entities, comprises five core icons illustrating diverse levels of human–machine partnership and nine functional icons highlighting AI participation in specific content creation stages.
