During a guest appearance on the popular ‘New Heights’ podcast hosted by Kelce and his brother Jason, the global pop sensation tackled internet speculation that she secretly donned a bear costume in Adam Sandler’s recent movie, Happy Gilmore 2.
Taylor Laughs Off the ‘Bear’ Rumors
The 35-year-old artist dismissed the theory with humor, sharing how it had become a point of amusement between her and her boyfriend. “This is one of those things where [Travis and I] send it to each other and say, ‘Hey, did you hear I was the bear?’ And he’s like, ‘Yeah, did you hear we bought a house in Lake Como?'” she joked during the episode.
In Happy Gilmore 2, a scene involving Travis Kelce as a honey-drenched waiter being mauled by a bear gave rise to online theories that Swift was behind the costume. The 14-time Grammy winner ultimately put the rumor to rest: “I can deny [the rumor]. At this point, we’re like, of course they think I’m inside the bear costume. I’m honored to be thought of in that context because I loved that movie so much. I watched it multiple times.”

Swift also praised the performances in the Netflix hit, including Bad Bunny, who starred as the character responsible for covering Kelce in honey. “He absolutely delighted me in that movie,” Swift said, adding, “His comedic timing is so good.”
