In Krishnagiri, AIADMK’s general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami expressed confidence in the party’s dominance in the western region, countering DMK leader M K Stalin’s remarks. Palaniswami highlighted the achievements under AIADMK governance, emphasizing Coimbatore and Tirupur projects. He dismissed DMK’s initiatives as mere gimmicks and asserted AIADMK’s strength in Coimbatore with 80% voter support in 2021. An optimistic Palaniswami predicted AIADMK’s victory in the upcoming elections, criticising DMK for insensitivity regarding the teacher eligibility test schedule during a significant Christian holiday.
