Haryana’s Minister for Energy, Transport, and Labour, Anil Vij, has announced a grand Tiranga Yatra scheduled to take place in Ambala Cantonment on August 13. This event is part of the Independence Day celebrations and will commence at 11 am starting from Agarwal Dharamshala, passing through various key points in the city before culminating at its origin. Vij urges BJP party workers to join the procession to instill a sense of nationalism in the region. Additionally, he stresses the importance of citizen participation in the ‘Har ghar tiranga’ campaign by hoisting the national flag atop their homes. The Governor’s visit is expected on Independence Day to hoist the tricolour at Subhash Park. A plantation drive called ‘Ek ped Maa ke naam’ is also planned for August 17 at Gandhi Ground. August 14 will commemorate as ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’ nationwide, with Haryana’s state-level event in Faridabad. Vij reaffirms the party’s dedication and unity against any divisive attempts in Ambala Cantonment.
