Due to India’s current inability to travel to Pakistan, the ICC Champions Trophy may well have to be be run by the Pakistan Cricket Board in a Hybrid Model. Previously, it had been reported that India would participate in all its matches in Dubai. This includes the significant India versus Pakistan match, which is now set to take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Indian cricket control body, BCCI, has informed the International Cricket Council (ICC), which hosts the event, regarding its decision to not travel to Pakistan. The ICC will in turn need to notify the host nation of this development before solidifying the tournament schedule. It is customary to announce the tournament schedule 100 days before the event begins, as noted by a BCCI representative.
