The visa, valid for 5 or 10 years depending on the category, does not require a local sponsor, offering holders the freedom to reside and work autonomously. Family members, including spouse, children, and domestic staff, can also be sponsored. Additionally, holders have unrestricted entry/exit privileges and can renew the visa automatically if all criteria are met. The application process involves submission through the ICP UAE Smart portal or the Abu Dhabi Residents Office app, followed by identity verification, biometrics, and medical checks. Approved applicants receive a Golden Visa and Emirates ID, enabling family sponsorship, employment flexibility, and extended residency rights. The whole procedure typically takes 30 to 60 days. The Golden Visa offers a decade-long residency without sponsor obligations, allowing visa holders to reside, train, and work in the UAE without limitations.
