Recent rumors surrounding actress Aneet Padda have sparked controversy over her alleged industry connections. A viral Reddit post falsely claimed she is filmmaker Nitya Mehra’s daughter, leading to speculation about her involvement in the movie ‘Saiyaara.’
Mohit Suri’s latest release, ‘Saiyaara,’ has been a box office success, garnering praise and attention from audiences. However, the background story of Aneet Padda’s casting in the film is now under scrutiny.
The ‘Nepo Baby’ rumor originated from online posts suggesting that Aneet Padda’s family ties played a role in securing her acting opportunity. The speculation intensified with allegations linking her to Nitya Mehra and Karan Kapadia.
Contrary to these claims, Aneet Padda was born in 2002, refuting any association with filmmaker Nitya Mehra, whose child was born in 2019.
Unraveling the Misunderstanding
The confusion surrounding Aneet Padda’s background can be traced back to her on-set relationships. While filming ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry,’ she affectionately referred to the director and producer, Karan Kapadia and Nitya Mehra, as her ‘Bombay parents.’
Although Aneet Padda shared a close bond with the duo during the production, they are not her biological parents.
Asianet reports that Aneet Padda, originally from Amritsar, comes from a modest background. She pursued education at Spring Dale Senior School and later enrolled at Jesus and Mary College in Delhi, kickstarting her modeling career.
Known for maintaining a low profile, not much is publicized about Aneet’s family life. However, it is evident that her mother has consistently supported her acting aspirations since childhood.
Early Career and Milestones
Prior to ‘Saiyaara,’ Aneet Padda appeared in various commercials and had a small role in Kajol’s ‘Salaam Venky.’ She marked her OTT debut with the series ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ in 2024.
