Apple Reveals macOS 26, iPadOS 26, watchOS 26 Public Betas Features
Apple unveiled the first public beta of macOS 26, alongside iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and watchOS 26, showcasing the new Liquid Glass design language. These beta versions offer users an early look at Apple’s upcoming operating systems for its various devices.
The macOS 26 public beta introduces the Liquid Glass design to the menu bar, dock, widgets, and Control Center similar to iPadOS 26 and iOS 26. Live Activities from iPhone apps can now be viewed on the menu bar.
Spotlight app improvements, with filtering options for apps, files, and shortcuts, are included in macOS 26. Shortcuts now support cloud-based and on-device machine learning models.
Apps like Safari, Messages, Files, and FaceTime have been revamped with translucent glass-like effects. Messages now support image backgrounds and real-time translation features.
iPadOS 26 inherits design changes from the developer beta, providing a familiar menu bar experience and enhanced file management features.
watchOS 26 presents the Workout Buddy feature for motivating workouts and a new wrist flick gesture. Liquid Glass is subtly integrated into parts of the interface.
Users can download these public betas, but it’s advised to use them on secondary devices due to potential bugs. Exciting features await Apple device users with these latest beta releases.
