The race initially seemed to favor the favorite, Cogburn, who surged ahead under Irad Ortiz Jr. However, as the race progressed, his early speed affected his stamina, allowing challengers to catch up. South African competitor Isivunguvungu led the charge, but Ryan made a powerful move with Starlust, clinching the victory over Motorious and AG Bullet.

In another highlight, Rebels Romance excelled in the Longines Breeders Cup Turf, marking his second victory in this event. With William Buick riding, he made a critical move to challenge the leading horse. Although Japanese horse Rousham Park made a late charge, Rebels Romance held on to win.
Tragedy struck the day with the death of Brian Meehan’s horse Jayarebe after crossing the finish line, suspected to be due to a cardiac event. Meanwhile, Emily Upjohn, trained by John Gosden, underperformed, leading to her retirement announcement.
In the Filly And Mare Turf, Moira secured the win against a late-charging Cinderellas Dream, trained by Charlie Appleby, emphasizing the unpredictable nature of the competition.
