The Healthcare Future Summit concluded today at the Dubai World Trade Centre, held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Minister of Defence. The summit featured prominent international events, including the Dubai Otology Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery Conference Exhibition, Annual Radiology Meeting, International Family Medicine Conference Exhibition, and the inaugural School Health Conference.
Emphasizing collaboration and knowledge-sharing across global health sectors, the summit highlighted the UAE’s leadership in healthcare innovation. This year, over 5,000 healthcare leaders, researchers, policymakers, and industry innovators gathered to discuss advancements in vaccine technology, immunization practices, and infectious disease control. Dr. Ramadan Al Blooshi, from the Dubai Health Authority, noted the summit’s success in addressing crucial challenges in vaccination and infectious disease prevention.
The agenda included discussions on the importance of adult vaccination programs for diseases such as respiratory syncytial virus, shingles, and influenza, particularly affecting seniors. Dr. Farida Al Hosani from the World Health Organization advocated for a comprehensive adult vaccination schedule to enhance public health and reduce healthcare costs.
The School Health Conference addressed immunization challenges in schools, fostering health awareness among students and parents, while discussions on student well-being encompassed nutrition, mental health, and crisis response.
