The court pointed out the lack of authority of the special executive officer who conducted the test identification parade after the arrest of the accused, leading to the invalidation of the identification of three alleged planters and weakening the prosecution’s case. Additional scrutiny revealed shortcomings in the ATS’s case, failing to prove the type of explosives used and casting doubt on the custody chain of key evidence.
